The Nature Lover's Guide To Leveling A Druid

Druid Leveling Build – Feral Leveling Spec

Choosing a druid leveling build can be tricky.  Each build totally changes the primary function of your character.  Balance makes you a nature-mage, Restoration makes you a healer, and Feral lets you take on the role of either tank or melee DPS, depending on which talents you choose.  So which path should you take?  Worry not, Druid Leveling Guide has you covered.

If your goal is to hit level 80 with as little down time and hassle as possible, Feral is the ultimate druid leveling build.  You get a substantial damage boost, you don’t have to worry about mana, and it boosts your survivability up nicely too.  So what talents should you pick?  Here’s my preferred druid leveling build:

5/5 Ferocity

3/3 Feral Instinct

2/2 Savage Fury

2/2 Feral Swiftness

3/3 Sharpened Claws

2/2 Primal Fury

3/3 Predatory Strikes

2/2 Primal Precision

2/2 Nurturing Instincts

1/1 Feral Charge

5/5 Heart of the Wild

1/1 Leader of the Pack

2/2 Improved Leader of the Pack

3/3 Survival of the Fittest

3/3 Infected Wounds

1/2 Brutal Impact

1/1 Mangle

3/3 Improved Mangle

2/2 Brutal Impact (put second point in)

5/5 Rend and Tear

1/1 Berserk

1/1 Primal Gore

From here, you can either fill out more talents in the feral tree to improve your tanking ability, or you can proceed down the restoration tree to pick up Omen of Clarity for even more DPS.

As far as gear goes, you should be prioritizing agility and strength, but don’t forget to grab some stamina too, especially if you’re on a PVP server.  Once you get Improved Leader of the Pack, nothing should be able to slow you down.  This build also does well at soloing elites or multiple mobs in bear form.  With elites, just wear them down slowly, and don’t forget to save up some rage for a frenzied regeneration.  With multiples, just swipe them down.

If you have any suggestions or questions for my recommended druid leveling build, leave me a comment below and I’ll check it out.
