The Nature Lover's Guide To Leveling A Druid

Tauren Druid Leveling Guide

It can be tricky to get going as a Tauren Druid, but this Tauren Druid Leveling Guide should help you get up and running and give you a head start on your leveling in no time.

You start out in Camp Narache, with your main nuke spell Wrath and your main healing spell Healing Touch.  Go grab your first quest and start killing some plainstriders.  Fire off your Wrath spell until they get close, then beat on them with your staff.  Heal up with Healing Touch if you need it.

Once you’ve collected all of the feathers and you’re ready to turn in the quest, you will probably have hit level 2 and you can pick up your next spell.  You can grab that from your trainer, who you should now have a quest to go and chat with.  You’ll get Mark of the Wild, which boosts your armor a bit to let you take a few more hits until you can keep the enemies at bay.

At level 4, you’ll get a handy new damage spell called Moonfire.  It deals a bit of instant damage and some solid damage over time.  This will bump up your kill rate quite nicely.  From this point out, you’ll be getting new spells every even numbered level.

Once you hit level 6, you will get your damage shield, Thorns.  This means that as long as you have this spell active, any time an enemy hits you, they will be damaged.  There is a very clear benefit to keeping this up at all times, as it is basically free damage.

As soon as you hit level 8 you finally get the tools to stop being target practice for the bad guys.  Entangling roots will let you keep baddies stuck in one place while they eat your damage spells all day long, and if they break free, a quick knock over the head with your staff should be enough to bring them down.  Open with this on every enemy you encounter until level 10.

Once you make it to level 10, you’ll be able to train bear form, and from there it’s a totally different game.  More Druid Leveling Guide to come, we’ll have some bear form leveling tips and talent info coming soon!
